Beneath the plaster ….

I think this may be the most boring photo I’ve ever posted - the brick revealed beneath the old plaster.  Yes, the work has begun - and will continue in one form or another for the next two weeks or so. 

Frustratingly, there is no sign of damp so far on any of the brickwork, so the mystery of the damp patches on our walls remains ….. 

So the day’s been filled with hammering and dust, the house freezing cold as they seem incapable of closing the front door. I’m ensconced in either our bedroom or the office where I’m editing my thousands of holiday photographs.    

Still, I’m sure it will all be worth it ……
