Heart to heart

Cathy1947's theme for today is something romantic for Valentines.  Maggy and I were at the hospital today for a visit and there were hearts and flowers aplenty in the hospital florist but I remembered I had these hearts at home and they are small and made from soapstone so I thought they would do for the theme.

It was a longer time than normal at the hospital as a friend was in a different ward having had back surgery yesterday.  I asked the ward receptionist if I could bring Maggy in after our visit at our regular ward and she said yes.  I could see they had their own visit from a therapy dog.  I met the dog's mum when we were doing our orientation at the hospital.  So another hour while we visited P and had a few of the staff from that ward come and pat Maggy and then it was home.  The bonus of course is that I didn't have to pay for parking as being a volunteer, we get free parking.

This morning started with flashes of lightning and claps of thunder and as I look out, I can see blue sky.  I wonder if that is it for our storms or whether there is more to come.
