Am I boring you, Bean?
We were back at Bortons Pond this afternoon for a lovely walk, seeing nobody except a farmer in an adjacent paddock. It was our second walk of the day, having stopped for one on the way to Oamaru in the morning.
One of my missions in town was to buy some wooden spoons. I assumed there would be a variety to choose from in the supermarket. Nope. Not a one.
So then I visited our only department store which always has a good selection of cooking utensils. None there either.
Into the wee kitchen section at the back of a gift shop, which often comes up trumps when I'm looking for items. Another blank was drawn.
I was about to head home to hunt online when I drove past the bargain warehouse. Just perhaps...? Indeed yes. Success!
I thought wooden cooking spoons were ubiquitous, which may simply show how long it is since I bought any, and / or how hopelessly out of touch with kitchen trends I am.
Out of touch with any trends come to that. And proud of it.
More photos from our walk in extras.
Many thanks for all the stars and comments about yesterday's bread.
