Quinta da Casa Branca
I’m too tired to be loquacious or wildly creative tonight - we were up at 5am and it’s now 11pm. Suffice it to say that everything went smoothly (except the last few minutes of our landing approach at the rather terrifying airport on Madeira - it was windy) and we’re back in the hotel we stayed in two years ago, four doors along from last time.
So the collage shows four views from our patio or just beyond it in the garden. It has rained a couple of times since we arrived - we got a tad wet when we went out to book our dinner, but it was lovely when we actually went for said dinner later. I’ve probably eaten too much as I’d not had any food since an all-day breakfast on the plane at 10am and was weak with hunger. The parrot restaurant only has one parrot just now - the blue one - and he was very vocal today.
So was a large group of Americans who came in as we finished - maybe off one of three cruise ships in the harbour? We felt very Scottish-muttering by contrast.
I’m rambling. Time to sleep.
