Ullswater
I had an email from the Access Officer apologising for the confusion because he thought I was ‘involved with the National Trust as a volunteer, or something’ … he realised it was over-complicating the problem and is planning to do the work required when it dries out a bit.
I replied saying I was ‘a something’ and thanking him.
I’ve been impressed with his promptness with it all.
Did a bit more work in the garden starting on reorganising after the shed installation last autumn.
The blackbird joined me at the box brick shrine for a moment’s brick appreciation (extra).
In the afternoon I went for a walk up Keldas (extra) and didn’t see a soul but stopped on my way when I noticed what seemed to be a curious cormorants feeding frenzy. I’ve never seen so many … this is just a few of them. The one in the thumbnail appears to have caught a fish.
