Snowdrops In The Ditch

Horrible wet weather again. On the way to get the groceries I saw a little egret feeding in company with a tethered horse on the verge. I was ready to capture it on my return but it had flown. I photographed these snowdrops that are growing in the front ditch when I got out of the van to unlock the gate.

Snowdrops are not native to the UK, it is thought that they were brought here from Europe by Norman monks. We have little clumps of them randomly on our property which used to be owned by the church.
