Field of Mild Expectations

Quiet this week - school holidays. We started off okay, with teams trading goals. I had a couple of good assists for team mates running through to score but could not score myself. Mostly half chances rather than sitters but I kept going just wide or too high or hit the side netting. And when I did get shots on target the keeper saved them all. Had one curling shot aimed for the top corner but in keeping with my evening it went just wide of the post rather than just inside it. And sadly the other team weren't as profligate and pulled away to win by three in the end. Ah well, there's always next week!
