Calm Sunday
After yesterday's acrobatic display and a rather unpleasant Saturday evening, I woke up this morning feeling bruised both mentally and physically. I didn't feel like doing much today but it was such a beautiful day that it was wonderful to get out into the windy sunshine to take a gentle walk to alleviate my aches and pains.
I bought a black silky scarf from TK Maxx with golden skulls along the ends! Yes, I know that sounds like a bizarre thing to buy in August (or any other time of the year for that matter) but I couldn't resist, it was very reasonable and was the only one there! That cheered me up no end and I am almost looking forward to wearing it but don't get me wrong, I'm not wishing the summer away.
I felt better as the day went on and walked along the seafront where I took today's picture without falling over a wall and then most of the way to Alloway but then cut off through the Belleisle Golf Course. After walking across the course and admiring the beautiful gardens, I wandered into the Rozelle Estate where the Ayr Flower Show was on but I was in need of a toastie and some tea at that stage so went into the cafe, sitting outside in the warm sunshine.
I left there after that and walked all the way back the long way and realised I'd probably walked about ten miles by the time I got home looking scorched and shattered...
Track? Sorry, it's another repeat but I do love this beautiful song and it goes so well with the two riders on the shore with Greenan Castle in the background - Ride On - Christy Moore
