The Bull and Gate

I went up to Kentish Town, this afternoon, to meet Dan for a farewell drink before he sets off to his new job, playing guitar on a cruise ship. He wanted to take me to the Southampton Arms, a favourite pub of his.

As we walked from the Underground to the pub, Dan pointed out that we were passing The Bull And Gate, which is where I (and my bandmates) performed the best gig of my life. (You can find the whole performance on YouTube but here's one of the songs.)

These days, the venue, which was 'round the back of the pub, is used as a restaurant :-(

Anyway, on a brighter note, the Southampton Arms was excellent, as was Dan.
