What struck my fancy

St Mary's

at Appleton. a small village area near to Sandringham, Norfolk UK. The village is now a collection of a few houses and a sizeable  farm, no shops.

The church is thought to date from about the 11th century with parts added on later. The ruin has been renovated a bit to make it safe for visitors - securing the stonework so nothing is liable to fall off.
