What a weaver!

We spent the night on an island called Äyrätsalo in our boat. A very warm day, it's cooler on the lake. There are many kinds of forests, swamps and ponds on this island and very rich fauna. We saw Loons, a Red-throated Loon (my husband did), Cranes, Whooper Swans, Common Goldeneyes etc. This one I didn't expect to find, it was bigger than I ever thought existing in Finland! It was mending the nest and boy it was skillful and quick! On the way to the boat we heard a dog barking and after it some animal roaring, we didn't stay searching for it, maybe it was just a deer.
