Sabbath
Chilly airflow from the north east, another brand new day dawned with a bright start.
Deer and ravens greeted me as I left my warm accommodation.
After a good wholesome breakfast I marched to the Northern most point of the island pausing to chat with a few creatures that were imported from the mainland a long time ago. The only native species that live here are pigmy shrews.
There’s a confusing balance going on here with, biodiversity, commercialisation and statistically driven surveys, these being driven by targets to capture funding.
I reported a poorly Soay lamb using What3 words, climbed the lighthouse again and was joined by a fellow Christian who is travelling along a very similar path to mine.
I herded out some sheep from the green grass area surrounding the old lighthouse only to turn around and watch them leaping back in again. A pony and its foal trotted over to me and nuzzled/hugged me for a short while before galloping of and around the paddock.?
Into the tavern for a chat and a warm cup of camomile tea before collecting a few sticks to light up the stove back in the vestry where I am staying.
A relaxing long hot shower to relax my tired muscles before tucking into my concocted
Seafood risotto, this was followed by a Salted caramel puddle-cake with clotted cream (a dessert from the tavern).
Zzzzzzzzz
