Bella, 14

I had a few hours with Bella on Thursday afternoon before the photo gallery opening because her school was closed for parent conferences. I asked a slew of questions that I hoped would lead to a conversation, but she fended me off with "I don't know." We were in the tea shop, waiting for our tea when she put her phone down and rested her head on her arm. When I pulled the camera out of the bag, she didn’t look away. I didn't have a chance to process these photos till today. Here then is a moment of Bella at fourteen. Uncommitted.
