Nearly home
Sad to say my double mini adventure has come to an end. :-( I have really enjoyed my time in the North-east and in Scotland but after breakfast it was time to head home. Originally I had planned to have a final day out today and break the journey up but I changed my mind and decided to head straight home, it made it a long journey though.
I was hoping for a final Scottish blip and I did travel through some lovely countryside, especially as my satnav decided on a slightly cross country route to start with. There were plenty of views I would have liked to have taken but unfortunately there was never anywhere to stop. I did divert around Lochmaben and stopped briefly at the castle and then cross country to Annan in the hope of seeing the sea but I didn't make it to the coast. I thought about having lunch at Greta Green but it was heaving with people so I didn't stop. I therefore had a late lunch at Tebay services, where I took this shot symbolising the end of this adventure.
A few days at home now and then the next mini adventure starts! Watch this space, we're going South!
Tour of Perthshire was posted late last night so you may not have seen it.
