Wedding fun
A fabulous day celebrating the wedding of my bridesmaid’s daughter. I took my 3 dresses in the car and fortunately our room was ready when we arrived at the hotel so we were able to change in comfort.
A wee bit of mingling and it was time for the ceremony with the most fabulous celebrant who obviously loved his job. There wasn’t a dry eye by the time he pronounced Leah and Simon man and wife.
The hotel did a marvellous job of keeping us fed and watered. Tasty canapés before the speeches and a delicious four course meal. A great band kept the dance floor full and I took many pictures, all embargoed until the happy couple have a chance to share some shots but suffice to say they looked radiant. Leah’s dress suited her to a tee and her mum and dad (friends of mine for the past 40 years) looked proud as punch. Danced my shoes off - literally! We were almost the last to head to bed just before 12.30 and I really enjoyed getting my jammies on and snuggling under the covers.
The transfer on my arm was courtesy of the happy couple and along with a Lindor chocolate, was presented to each guest as a wedding favour.
