Reference book

I was writing an email this morning and had to look up a word, so of course I searched for it online. Before search engines, I'd use a proper dictionary. So I thought I could use a dictionary for an EB. I forgot how tiny the print was! Remember huge dictionaries like this one? And it's one of two volumes. I also remember other reference books like thesauruses and sets of encyclopaedias. I wonder how many younger people use anything other than their devices to find information.
I'm packed and ready to go over to be with family. It will be so good to see everyone. G will join us later this week. Unfortunately he has an important appointment that he shouldn't miss. Everything still seems so surreal.
