The Miracle of Life...

At least three, maybe four Red-shouldered hawks flew above our yard this morning, calling and calling. This went on for twenty minutes or more. Finally one of them landed high up on an oak tree limb. Within a minute, a male flew in. Their 'encounter' lasted less than 30 seconds and I was only able to take five shots... then off he flew.
She remained on the limb for a while longer. And the miracle of life continues.
