Day 198 - 4 Deaths and 1 Rescue

Having seen virtually no wasps this summer at all, we have killed 4 today - pesky beasties! They are showing themselves because they are nearly at the end of their season and want to sting us all just for the pleasure of it...

I went to cut the grass as it was a jungle after my holiday and had to rescue this beautiful beastie from some of the longer grass. He had no pollen on him and a friend posted something on my FB page after my last bee post about how to help struggling bees so we did. 2 spoons of sugar and one spoon of water poured on a paper towel on a saucer. It did the trick and he flew away revived!
