Resistance

The Chinese want to build a new embassy on the site of the old Royal Mint by the Tower of London. The local council has blocked planning, but it looks like the Government will allow it to go ahead.
A demonstration was held there today in protest, and to show the impact that future demos would have on the area and the river crossing. Tower Bridge was closed to traffic today, which snarls up the traffic in all the surrounding areas, both north and south of the river.
