Skeletal Branches

On hearing what a lovely walk my daughter had had yesterday we decided to find the area and tire Millie out if we could.

Underfoot was treacherously slippy and muddy with the rain we have had down but we got there in the end. I think the area will be amazing for wildlife in the summer especially dragonflies hopefully plus the paths will be drier. There wasn't much to see flying round but switching on my Merlin Bird ID App it identified a song thrush, crow, skylark, dunnock, buzzard, blackbird and kestrel. What a great bit of kit. The kestrel hunted from the tree branches here in the picture and a robin flitted in and out of the gorse  and brambles as we passed.
