Cooling Their Heels
A group of ibis were hanging around the very shallow section of the lake at Hyde Park. The day was finally much cooler and I think they were probably recovering from the heatwave conditions.
I didn’t go until quite late and I think because it was cooler it was packed with people having picnics, exercising, bike riding, walking dogs and children’s parties it was a wonderful atmosphere brought on by the lovely cool late afternoon!! : )
Another couple of extras from yesterday at the museum. Another view of the rusty truck and 2 varieties of 280 million year old crinoids who perished under a heavy layer of mud. Found at Gascoyne Junction far up in the north of Western Australia, fascinating to see.
