Snow scenes

It has been snowing steadily all day today but Japan copes with it admirably with the motorway running smoothly and all vehicles using winter tyres. We visited the coastal town of Otaru famous for its canal and glass crafts. It was very wealthy in the past due to the herring and coal industries. Our canal trip was snowed off but instead we visited the very interesting Old Aoyama Villa built by a wealthy family in the 1920s.
