Springing up!

Cosmo and I walk round the side of the lake two or three times a week but but until this afternoon had seen no signs of these delicate crocus flowers which have sprung up amongst the leaf litter.

They, along with the butterbur,  snowdrops, honeysuckle and elder buds and hazel, alder and willow catkins confirm  that Spring is just round the corner - meteorological speaking just 20 days away!
