A good start when the postman/lady delivered an unexpected letter. A nice surprise.

I ran out of energy early in the afternoon so no walk today. Feel as if I’ve been on the go since Thursday of last week, though I know I haven’t. Pleased I didn’t go out because Andy from across the road knocked to do a job I couldn’t manage.

Now to the photo. Last year Jane brought some rhubarb from their garden which I stewed and froze. A few weeks ago I checked the cupboards for crumble topping ingredients. Flour (BB May 2022), oats (BB Apr 2024) and demerara sugar (BB Oct 2015). All looked and smelled ok. Today I got the recipe book out and made the crumble.

If I don’t blip tomorrow . . . .



I noticed a few other packets at the back of the bottom shelf. Couscous (BB 2022) and wholemeal SR flour (BB 2017) which are now in the bin, and dried cranberries (BB 2020) . . . I might try one.
