An Olive Branch?
The highlight of the day was going a couple of miles away to "look at art". What this really means is, go to an art gallery for morning coffee and a guarantee of dairy-free cake. on the way to the cafe Kat was quick to find a lovely scarf that exactly matched ner hair and her bright teal jacket.
I had to buy it for her!
I say "buy" but on the way to the till after coffee in the next room I saw our vicar and his wife so I had to call Kat over and introduce them to her.
It was 30 minutes later, miles away that I realised I'd forgotten to pay. I was very quick to phone up with my care details for the £40 spent!
Kat went for a wander down to the churchyard where she met the dog-walking vicar's wife again! She also found a skull and brought it home. She thought it appropriate that it had a branch in its beak reminding her of the dove with the olive branch returning to the ark. (Very unlike the last piece of skull I found there!)
In the evening we went to look at the lodge. The workman had almost finished and cleared out all their stuff. I'm having them back though, they had hung the fridge door on the wrong side! A woman would have understood work-flow! Apart from that, things are looking better than I thought, I'll get used to the colour.
