The Scot Monument

Pilates first; then a quick walk back for an 11.00 am meeting at the Ivy on the Square.  Time for a blip of the Monument - I should go inside
In extra, because it made me grin, the LNER advert on the side of the Jenners building; the windows are printed onto a fabric screen just like the advert.

Afternoon walk over to the Old Town via Cockburn Street to see the Scottish Colourists show at the Dovecot. Lots of Samuel Peploe. Well laid out and curated, not too busy. My usual objection to heavy gilt frames as being unsuitable for the time and subject matter of the paintings, and they distract from the artwork. Well worth seeing.

Back by the Cowgate and S Gray's Close to Jeffrey Street.

This is a blip anniversary; many thanks to @cyclops who introduced me to it in 2009 and to the directors and volunteers who operate it; and much appreciation to all of you who comment and look in. It's been a great pleasure to meet a number of you in person and my social life is much richer in consequence; especially since we moved from California in 2022 and blip enabled extending a network of friends and acquaintances here.
