Humdrum..? Or not?

This might look a humdrum picture.
It was my ‘oh well, it’ll be something for blip if nothing else turns up’ image, as I sat at roadworks.

It’s now a very beautiful reminder to me of how blessed I am to sit at traffic lights/anywhere..

Driving on my way home (from meeting a friend in need) a very large piece of metal (the width of my car) flew from a lorry on the other carriageway. It hit my car with a great impact and noise. It all happened very quickly, despite having that slow motion split second to think, ‘oh no, this is going to be very bad’.
My car didn’t grind to a halt, and I was too scared to stop and look at the damage. I wasn’t far from home, so carried on..

In short, I am a very, very lucky woman.
The damage to my car is miraculously (I do not use this word lightly) not too bad.

I was protected and looked after today.
And I’m full of gratitude.
