Somehow SE has inveigled his/her way onto a bed.
I’m not doing much blipping at the moment for various reasons, one of which has been computer/phone problems, another was D’s mum’s extended visit while her new hip settled in. Perhaps the prematurely burgeoning spring and a bit of its positive energy will chivvy me along.
Otherwise, I’ve been reading John Williams and the latest William Boyds. Both Gabriel’s Moon, which sadly only filled a 900km train journey, and The Romantic, were a great pleasure to read. We have another four still to buy.
Also, I discovered that the Singer sewing machine needed a new spring for the thread tension. I should of course still fix it but I bought a new and more sophisticated one, which I seem to be able to use. It has a clever little gadget for threading the needle, which is very useful.
Last week I made marmalade from oranges which were sent in error. Two were already soft and Belgium is a long way back. We then went to a sad occasion in Szczecin. It couldn’t really be further away within the borders but it’s rather beautiful and interesting. We will have to visit again but with the camera next time.
