Cathedral Whales
I saw that Winchester Cathedral had an art installation and events in celebration of whales and exploring the impact we have on the environment and climate. So today I took advantage of a sunny day and the last week of my annual pass to investigate.
I spent the morning walking round Winnall Moors Nature Reserve, and though I didn't see much wildlife it was a lovely refreshing walk.
I visited the cathedral in the afternoon. The main focus of the event were 3 models of whales hanging down over the nave. Together with the ocean blue lighting and sun coming through the windows they made quite an impressive sight.
A walk back to the car park along the River Itchen via Wolvesey Castle ruins completed another good and satisfying day out.
