Largs Front
Another busy day. We loaded our van and got everything tied in safely. Bb and I and Alexis and David visited Jean in the home and Alexis and Bb had a lengthy and useful meeting with the manager, who, contrary to what Jean sometimes reports, heard that she is settling in, talking with people and talking part in activities. This is very reassuring indeed. They said that they don’t think they’ve ever had such a determined resident. In the afternoon, Bb worked online delivering training. Alexis and David continued going through photos and papers. I did some necessary shopping in the town and then a little browsing in the charity shops - coming away with 7 bargains for the grand total of £21.50! Back to the flat and then down again, carrying two big bags of clothes for the charity shops. I stayed down there, read the paper and then we all met up in The George at 6.30 for dinner - fish and chips for Bb and me and a huge burger of haggis and black pudding with all the trimmings for Alexis and David. All delicious. Walking back up the hill, Bb and I remembered all the happy times of our visits here and wondered about how many times we’ve done this walk. I was totally exhausted when we fell into bed at 10.45pm. I took my blip in the early evening after dropping off the charity donations. The Main Street is behind me and up to the right, so I was looking away from the centre.
