A “handy” day .
The main photo shows the glorious sunshine and blue skies that graced the day we spent at St Anne’s lending a hand to the Christmas tree dune restoration project .
The perfect weather led to a perfect day, I had been so apprehensive as we took Freya along and I wasn’t sure if children would be welcome . The organisers couldn’t have been more warm and friendly in their welcome . We went as part of a team from the Greenhouse restoration project which we are hoping to get more involved with , it’s like climbing a mountain with so many obstacles and a lot of anxiety on my part . Joining yesterday’s activity was quite a big deal and it went really well .
The extra is of my hands after the Mehndi party that our neighbours invited us to as part of their daughter’s wedding celebration. They are a kind and gentle family and because our houses face one another we inevitably see each other’s families coming and going so have get plenty of opportunities for incidental conversations. We were made very welcome and plied with the most delicious South Indian food . Lucky us !
