In the M Shed
Formerly the Bristol Industrial Museum. But today, just in the cafe with a friend. She is currently where I was about 15 years ago- her mum has dementia so she is beset by practical and emotional difficulties, and overwhelmed by the awful sadness of it. Like I did, she cries a lot- you’re still a child even if you’re 60. Suddenly there was a familiar noise above our heads - and a little train set was going round and round - the track suspended from the ceiling. I guess there is a coin slot to make it run for a few minutes. It was so surprising and delightful. In the afternoon I looked after my opposite neighbour’s son while they went to a parents’ meeting at his pre school. We read two whole volumes of Sir Charlie Stinky Socks - a modern day knight who is kind and gives everyone presents:-)
