" Yes Chef ......... ticket Chef "

A nice active day started with the Invitation Day at our Golf Club. An enjoyable round of golf with my son Nick and his partner from Chevin GC. Poor score but great company and nice weather, I'll settle for that :-)

Then, Lesley and I went down to Birmingham to see the Lion King at the Hippodrome. It was thoroughly entertaining with fantastic costumes and the odd touch of humour that had been updated since the first time we saw the show in London many years ago.

Pre theatre dinner was eaten at Jamie's Italian. Having parked up we walked into the Rag Market area and onto St Martin's which with the iconic bullring in the background and modern architecture and restaurants surrounding the old church is a vibrant and attractive place these days. It took on a glow in the evening sunshine.

The blip was taken in Jamie's which had the full atmosphere of a celeb kitchen with the obligatory shouting of kitchen staff and a nice buzz about the restaurant (food was good as well).
