Paper

So far, the daily task of getting myself out of the house early to go and get the paper is working a treat. One day in the car and three on the bike. Today I decided that the knee has been holding up fine so instead of just going there and back, I'd take the long road - out to Merryhill and up the hill to the back gate, through the Broomhall estate to the A985. It doubles the pathetic 2 miles to what used to be the absolute minimum of 4. And so that becomes the route from now on. There's an easy way to add another mile but we'll keep an eye on the knee. It's making its presence known but the payback is the sheer pleasure of riding past a huge queue of traffic, which was this evening's fun as I took another quick tea-time run to the wee Sainsbury's. There's roadworks on the A985 and the commuter queue is about a mile long.
