Blooms from Bella and David

Bella and David sent me some get well flowers from the Isles of Scilly last Friday. The buds were tightly closed when they arrived flat in a box. Now that they have opened, they look lovely. This is just one of the three vases that I filled.

I was out and about a lot today: to LIDL and Tesco for the Thursday morning supermarket run; to the Festival theatre to exchange some tickets; to the dentist for a check-up; and to the library to return one book (The seventh son by Sebastian Faulkes) and pick up another (Eight mountains by Paolo Cognetti). 

In between all this I spoke to my Canadian collaborator Brian on Zoom, wrote a letter to Val, kept an eye on auction number 15, chatted with my not-so-little sister and Mummy hazelh on the phone, and prepared our supper. The latter comprised a broccoli, bean and avocado bake, followed by cinnamon figs in maple syrup with Greek yoghourt.

Exercise today: walking (17,324 steps).
