Jill's corner, not the bend on the path but the corner where the owls used and still do come over the field on the right then bank round in front of the wood.

I didn't see JDO today which is hardly surprising since the melee of photographers and lenses was such that I opted out a) because there were no parking spaces and b) I really really didn't want to join the paparazzi. Instead I opted for the walk and approach by the other direction but too late.  . no owls at all.

On the issue of 'no flight' BA has contacted me again today and is still refusing my compensation claim which is beyond belief. They ended their missive with, ...'I hope we have the chance to welcome you on board again  very soon.'  Really do they? Really DO they? It is such a shame because I am looking to get a flight sorted shortly and want to support GB but I feel I've been treated shabbily - very shabbily indeed. Out of our group in Johannesburg I am now the only one who is missing compensation and let's face it the bare minimum compensation for an unscheduled and stressful week in South Africa.  A week of hotels, taxis, food and let's not forget the dog kennels, the airport parking, the waiting around, the nightmare queues in the middle of the night for coaches et al. I am not really very angry just very disappointed in the company. Hubs got the basic compensation within 24 hours. I will pursue ...

Let's just hope that BA isn't the only airline going to São Paulo in July
