HELLEBORE
GOOD NEWS.
I didn't hear anything about an appointment this week so today, rather than stew further, I contacted a CNS in Lancaster. Yes the results were in, they thought I'd already been advised and seen someone due to my appointment about 10 days ago!!!
Anyway the surgery results are good. I can' remember all the medical terms she used but the upshot is that the two sites they did surgery and biopsies from are both now negative. PHEW WHAT A RELIEF. Apparently I will have to have radiotherapy plus, due to the site of the surgery a booster, whatever that means. I will also be on medication for at least 5 years with annual mammograms.
I now have an appointment with a Consultant next Monday to discuss this in more detail - at 9.30 am - still I'd rather be early. Then it's more waiting to hear about appointments at Preston for Radiotherapy and now many I will have. The CNS said that these days it's usually about 5 sessions but with a boost.
I am now beginning to feel that relief I thought I would have had after surgery but didn't. It's good to have an idea of a plan and the word NEGATIVE has never been so good.
Anyway this is a hellebore from the garden so I thought I would share that with you.
Do take care everyone, stay safe and I will see you all hopefully tomorrow.
