Toots in Solitude

By Toots

This morning we had to negotiate bus routes to get us to an early appointment across town to Ferry Road. I must have worried Donald urging him that we wouldn't be able to dilly dally in the morning. He came down to me at 3.15 in the morning. I settled him on the day bed but he kept getting up and putting on lights and leaving them on. There's no use fighting things like that, just go with it, so we were both rather tired when we arrived at the appointment.
This afternoon we went to Mortonhall crematorium (I'm able to drive there!!) for the funeral of a neighbours son. Although I was at the back I heard every word clearly. The acoustics must be good because I didn't have my hearing aids in. A wonderful send off was given.
