Launceston
A pleasant day driving across to Launceston. First stop was at Sheffield for morning tea and a look at the town's famous murals (extras 1and 2). Lunch was at Deloraine with a wander down the main street to have a look at some of the sculptures on the Great Western Tiers Sculpture Trail. Extra 3 is "Peace Man" by Kim Clark (2002). Then a brief look around Pearns Steam World in Westbury (extra 4 is a Fowler steam engine built in Leeds). Main shows the childrens playground at Riverbend park with our hotel behind. The hotel opened in 2018 and is built around four grain silos from the 1960s.
