Relaxed
I wish I was too.
2 more evening shifts ahead. Yesterday's shift totaled me. I was alone for the last two hours and before that T and I were on our feet non-stop. For some strange reason, there was massive amount of happenings in addition to our normal Wednesday evening. There were residents coming and going (which means they have to be dressed accordingly to the weather or the event, fed at individual hours, watching for taxi to coma and go) and we had 3 to shower. As soon as T left, one resident started to get epilepsy seizures, which luckily were only about 30-45 seconds, but I had to watch him, which meant I was not able to do anything else. and I had a ton to do. I called another ward and S came to help me for about 20 minutes. It was pure madness.
I didn't have time to eat properly. After 6 I put my "lunch" out for me, thinking I could now finally eat. Then came the singing therapist that was having a session with two of the residents (yes, that too) and asked for me to set next dates. Which I did. Then returning to my lunch. Then she decides to have her tee and took out her thermos and had a cup of tee. Talking to me non stop. Which at any other evening could have been okay, but yesterday I just wanted few minutes to myself and she just yapped. Also making her other appointment with the other resident late which meant for me to have less time to make him his meal and getting him ready to sleep. When taking care of 5 and knowing the last one arrives from theater after 8pm and has not eaten, the schedule really starts to get really tight.
