Waitangi Day

Today is a public holiday in New Zealand to acknowledge the signing of the Treaty February, 1840. I consider it our Foundation Document, and have always been proud that we had it in place.
It is now controversial, and I listen to both sides of the argument, however hold to the opinion that it is an exceptionally important document for our country, 
We had a beautiful sunny day in Wānaka …but not a hot - only about 26C I think today.
My photo is of the Clutha River …I came home from Albert Town (only 15 minutes away) at lunchtime and Jill, Frida and I had a lovely walk in this area. My friend is recovering very well.
