By Any Other Name

Saturday opened with fine sunny weather… a perfect day for a walk along the cliffs, which had been the plan. Fate threw a deft spanner into the works… and instead, this became Day 1 of The Dreaded Lurgy. The usual flurry of winter viruses seems particularly fierce this year—it seems like half of our team at work has been off with something or other in the last few weeks. Now, it’s my turn again. Fevers, chills, headaches, and muscle pains served with a delightful helping of nausea and stomach cramps. I slept through most of the day. Poor Vanessa has picked up something similar, but luckily, the boys seem to have escaped so far. Ed & Tara have been here for the day, which has really helped.

I was determined to get my daily photo… there’s no way I am going to miss a day just before I hit my 365 target. Miniature roses caught the light on the kitchen table in the morning - so before things got too bad, I popped the Beastgrip macro lens on my phone and took several shots to edit later once the lurgy had passed.
