Sheepish Family

On our walk down the canyon nearby, a small group of big horn sheep decided to take the trail instead of staying high up. Carly was fussy so they kept their distance, understandably, but still had an eye on us! The male has an impressive set of horns, and a nice looking winter coat, better seen in the extra. Horns grow for life and in some cases they can curl into the skull, and puncture it, leading to death! This big guy seems to have a wider set or horns that will curly out of the way. 

Tomorrow is the end of the first stretch of my parental leave (of two parts) , back to the real world for a few months while Lily stays home. I should look into retiring soon...
