Borderlines Bookclub
Wednesday started with a visit to the market. My first visit for 3 weeks due to my trip south. In the afternoon I went to my art group. Again the first time for 3 weeks. It was great to see them all.
Finally this evening I went to my Bordeines Bookclub. We were discussing Orbital by Samantha Harvey. Last year’s Booker Prize winner, our discussion started by talking about what is a novel. The book is beautifully written by doesn’t have much of a plot. It’s about the Space Station and its occupants going around the world multiple times a day. It does make you wonder why anyone would want to do this, but I found it quite poetic. A very different book to the usual winners of this book prize, and it is definitely one that you either love or you hate.
