53 years

When we got home today, there was a cake made by our daughter and granddaughter waiting for us, along with an anniversary card!

It was a lovely surprise, and my favorite cake on top of that!  Carrot cake with cream cheese icing in a heart shape.  The other photos are a cheesecake selection we bought ourselves, the bouquet of flowers that Al bought for us, and the orange spritzer we toasted each other with in our Grog mugs...a yearly tradition.

It's been lovely, and we've heard from so many friends and family today.  Now we can snuggle and stay inside ahead of the latest storm brewing tonight!
