Blackbirds Singing

Merlin went for a walk with Hannah this morning so I spent some time in the garden pruning. It was cold but sunny and feeling spring-like with the birds singing and brightness in the sky.

Later I dropped Andy at the train station. He’s popped up to Edinburgh to visit his son. A few days ago we still weren’t sure if he would be able to manage the trip. Anyhoo he’s arrived safely.

This was the sky as I walked Merlin late this afternoon. The temperature was falling and the blackbirds were calling loudly to each other as we walked home through the village.
