Alora
The weather forecast was great for today so I decided against returning to Malaga for the museums that had been closed on Monday and instead I spent the day in Alora. At the top of the Guadalhorce valley it’s the end of the local railway line, the train journey was spectacular with snowy mountains and lush orange and lemon orchards.
After coffee and a sandwich in the main square I walked up to the castle which dates back to the Phoenicians. Entry was unrestricted with a 360degree view from the ramparts.
The blip is from the other side of the town looking towards the castle, with the Sierra Nevada way in the distance.
