Snowdrops in the Sunshine

YorkGate garden is closed in the winter months except for Snowdrop Week which is ironically now a fortnight because of its popularity.
This year it’s had to be brought forward because the snowdrops have made an early entrance.
Today was open day for volunteers, then the next three days are for Friends of YorkGate then on Sunday it opens to the public.
So l was there as soon as the gates opened this morning, lovely to see it in the sunshine but not the right conditions for photography.
Took some shots which l wasn’t really satisfied with but it was my only opportunity.
Managed to have a quick chat with the volunteer coordinator and explained about how l won’t be able to do my regular shifts until July because l’ve committed myself to dancing at the Bradford City of Culture performance.
It’s all ok so l won’t have to give it up.
Home and a quick change then off to get the train to Bradford for the dance rehearsal.
Instead of coming home l continued on the train to Ilkley and met my friend B. We went to Bistro Pierre for an early dinner.
Now home, it’s been one of those days where l never had time to draw breath: the sort of day l like.
