Tufted Duck

This solitary little duck shares the pond at Mugdock with the mallards. I was pleased to finally get a shot showing his  tuft and his beautiful yellow eye. I couldn't resist another robin shot for the extra. 
The walk started off badly when I picked up my camera bag before I zipped it up. Fortunately my camera, telephoto lens and extender were safely round my neck and only the kit lens crashed to the ground. It seems to be working fine thankfully with only a tiny scrape on the body. I won't be doing that again!
