Quicker than I thought!

I went to the reservoir and canal at Codnor today, mainly in the hope of seeing the kingfisher again. Well, I didn't see said bird although others did but these canoodling Great Crested Grebes made up for it.
There were several GCGs on the water but these two seemed to well along the path towards a firm friendship. They didn't do the "synchronised rising up out of the water thing" so we may have to come back again and maybe they will be just a little nearer :))
